Job Requirements

  • minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of production management experience
  • experience in chemical, food or beverage manufacturing
  • experience with blending/mixing processes
  • experience in non-union environments
  • management of 30 or more employees
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work 50 hours weekly including overtime
  • local to Ottawa, Ohio area
  • legal ability to work in the U.S.
  • ability to collaborate in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar production management role
  • experience overseeing production in chemical, food or beverage manufacturing including a blending/mixing process
  • experience overseeing production in non-union work environments
  • experience overseeing direct and indirect reports including at least 30 employees
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to present to upper management
  • Microsoft Office skills preferred

Job Duties

  • direct all plant operations and lead a management team including production, maintenance, warehouse, and safety
  • coordinate departmental schedules to ensure manufacturing goals are met safely, efficiently, and within budget
  • partner with other facility leaders to share resources and support production supervision during peak operations
  • lead facility and equipment improvements to reduce waste and boost productivity
  • collaborate with the quality department to ensure all products meet internal specifications and food safety standards
  • ensure the quality lab is fully equipped and personnel are following standard operating procedures
  • maintain strict compliance with OSHA, FSMA, and HACCP plans
