Job Requirements

  • Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program preferred not required
  • Minimum of 2 years Chef de Cuisine experience
  • Culinary production experience
  • Strong passion for great food and hospitality
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficient in computer and technical skills working knowledge of Google Suite tools
  • Ability to drive and enhance a culture of Food and Workplace Safety
  • Managing in a union environment is a plus
  • ServSafe Certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage workplace and food safety including allergen management
  • Have a passion for quality food preparation and taste
  • Manage high volume production schedule and facility
  • Follow all menu and production/prep expectations and guides including opening/closing checklists and responsibility guides
  • Set an expectation of teamwork that is friendly and engaging
  • Train and develop team members
  • Deliver employee reviews coaching sessions and disciplinary actions professionally and timely
  • Ensure all products and ingredients are purchased following sector and Food Program purchasing standards and sustainability commitments
  • Meet all timelines for payroll service accounts receivables human resources corporate office and other timelines given by partners and management
  • Ensure all hiring and training standards are met
