Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- safety - understand and carry out oral instructions
- read and carry out written instructions
- ability to retain and act on oral instructions
- ability to observe and read instruments gauges, dials and make adjustments
- ability to estimate size and quantity of objects
- ability to constantly observe for quality defects as well as subtle problems with machine
- ability to make simple arithmetic calculations
- ability to work with minimal or no supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience with packaging lines, films, etc
- previous manufacturing experience
Job Duties
- Safely operate bag machine, cartoner, case packing machine, and palletizer and log machine activity
- inspect and perform tests for quality issues related to seal integrity, legible print, finished product dimensions, and other critical properties
- set up bag making line and maintain log, determine operating conditions, make adjustments and correct malfunctions
- safely operate hand and fork truck when needed
- perform other crew member functions deemed necessary by management
- perform general housekeeping
- willingness to cross train to advance skills
