Job Requirements
- Degree in communications or a related field, or equivalent job experience
- Great communication and people skills
- Newscast or live events directing/master control experience or production assistant experience in a system nearly identical to KCRG's
- Operating knowledge of PCs and graphics computers
- Understanding of FCC broadcast regulations
- Required to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Required to pass annual Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check
- Ability to pass Commercial Driver's License (CDL) requirements
- Ability to carry moderately heavy equipment up to approximately 50 pounds
- Ability to work in potentially extreme weather conditions (heat or cold)
- Ability to work in an environment with fluctuating noise and light levels
- Ability to climb a ladder
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Lead production crew for various live events while also working as a member of the production team
- Hire, schedule, and train all freelancers on proper use of equipment
- Assist in live event productions, including setup and teardown
- Conduct site surveys in advance of live events as necessary
- Track invoices to ensure crew payment in a timely manner
- Order supplies when needed while staying within budget
- May need to fill in as Technical Media Producer, including directing live and pre-recorded productions and monitoring all on-air streams
- Require skill with production video switcher, master control video switcher, production and master control automation, graphics, and all supporting equipment
- Understanding of FCC logs and broadcast regulations
- Understanding of all equipment in the studio and production areas
- Variable work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Other duties as assigned
