Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years experience in quantity food preparation and short order cooking
  • working knowledge of Federal and State regulatory standards for safety and sanitation
  • preferred culinary degree
  • preferred Serve Safe certification
  • preferred experience in healthcare food service
  • ability to utilize food production equipment
  • competency in handling special dietary needs and behaviors appropriate to patient age

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook various foods in quantity for meal service
  • perform cold food production duties for patients, cafeteria, and deli station
  • utilize food production equipment effectively
  • adhere to Federal and State safety and sanitation standards
  • attend to special dietary needs of patients
  • collaborate with Executive Chef and kitchen staff
  • maintain a clean and organized work environment
