Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-3 years experience in quantity food preparation and short order cooking required
  • knowledge of Federal and State regulatory safety and sanitation standards required
  • ability to utilize food production equipment required
  • understanding of cooking methods and procedures required
  • ability to attend to special needs and behaviors of patients as applicable required

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • working knowledge of Federal and State regulatory safety and sanitation standards
  • culinary degree preferred
  • Serve Safe certification preferred
  • experience in healthcare food service preferred
  • ability to operate food production equipment and understand cooking methods
  • competency in attending to special needs and behaviors of patients as applicable

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook various foods in quantity for meal service
  • perform cold food production duties for patients
  • manage cafeteria and deli station food preparation
  • utilize food production equipment effectively
  • ensure compliance with Federal and State safety and sanitation standards
  • accommodate special dietary needs and patient behaviors as applicable
  • collaborate with Executive Chef and kitchen staff
