Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in commercial or airline food preparation preferred
- excellent attendance and safety performance record
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- good physical stamina to handle kitchen duties
- ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
- flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- willingness to comply with food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Excellent attendance record
- skilled in proper use of kitchen cutlery, equipment, and machinery
- strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- extensive knowledge of food safety and workstation sanitization
- ability to use knives, cutting boards, mobile shelving, carts, meat slicers, and industrial kitchen equipment
- proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
- able to convert to metric measurements using a conversion chart
- flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays according to business needs
- committed to safety practices including wearing protective equipment
Job Duties
- Cook according to airline customized menu and established procedures
- use various cooking methods like sautéing, poaching, baking, grilling, and sauce preparation
- operate broilers, fryers, grills, ovens, and stovetop cooking equipment
- ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures
- check food and ingredient freshness by quality inspection and stock rotation
- implement GMP procedures including temperature controls
- clean and inspect food preparation and serving areas to maintain sanitation and food safety
- adhere to FDA, USDA, HACCP, and customer safety standards
- wear protective equipment as required
- participate in additional responsibilities as needed
