Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years experience in kitchen settings
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Willingness to maintain NYC DOH Food Protection Certificate
  • Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
  • Comply with state and federal food handling laws
  • Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in professional kitchen environments
  • Proficient with French knife and commercial kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of various cuisines and cultural foods
  • Ability to prepare food according to recipes and production guidelines
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Commitment to teamwork and customer service

Job Duties

  • Assist in meal preparation under Executive Sous Chef guidance
  • Set up workstations and prepare ingredients per recipes
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
  • Ensure food safety, storage, and quality standards are met
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely including ovens, grills, and slicers
  • Prepare food for diet-restricted meals
  • Maintain production records and communicate food order needs
  • Receive deliveries and store items properly
  • Communicate allergen and food information to guests
  • Participate in in-service trainings
