Job Duties
- Operate and maintain production equipment efficiently and safely
- Ensure proper cooking temperatures and adherence to food safety standards
- Prepare and cook a variety of entrees including meatloaf, baked chicken, chitterlings, pig feet, oxtails, and specialty entrees as scheduled according to established recipes
- Prepare and cook baked sides, vegetables, and other dishes following recipes
- Monitor and control cooking times to ensure precise cooking and maintain food quality
- Inspect the quality of ingredients before cooking to preserve flavor, texture, and presentation
- Collaborate with kitchen team and communicate effectively to ensure timely food preparation
- Coordinate with restaurant manager to develop and modify recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation following sanitation guidelines
- Comply with health and safety regulations including personal hygiene
- Track and manage inventory of production supplies and report shortages or malfunctions
- Stay updated on cooking techniques and industry trends to improve skills and contribute to menu innovation
