Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience in a high volume production kitchen
  • Food handler certification valid in local municipality
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Ability to work in chilled environments below 40 degrees
  • Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
  • Capability to use production kitchen tools including digital scales and timers
  • Strong physical stamina and endurance
  • Willingness to adapt and take on additional duties as needed

Job Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience in high volume line cooking in a production kitchen
  • Currently possess and maintain food handler certifications
  • Ability to use measuring tools including digital scales and timers
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain effective communication and teamwork
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods and fast movement
  • Familiarity with handling food allergens such as shrimp, soy, nuts and sesame

Job Duties

  • Assembling and preparing Snap meals per recipes and standards
  • Learning and adapting to seasonally changing recipes and unique ingredients
  • Ensuring food is cooked, portioned and held at correct temperatures according to food quality and safety standards
  • Preparing high-quality food items to meet production kitchen departure times
  • Using established production sheets to guide food preparation
  • Maintaining accurate HACCP records during shifts
  • Assisting in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Attending daily briefings, in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintaining good working relationships with coworkers, customers and management
  • Adhering to all safety and sanitation standards
  • Cleaning and organizing assigned stations including work area, coolers, utensils and equipment
  • Removing trash and sweeping and mopping floors
  • Being flexible to work on duties outside of main responsibilities as assigned
