Job Description

At the Cedar Rapids facility, located at 4601 C Street SW, the company operates a 3-shift production model with approximately 200 hourly team members, including both temporary and full-time employees. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food production or manufacturing preferred
  • ability to lift 50 lbs
  • ability to work 1st shift 5:30am to 2:00pm
  • ability to adhere to safety policies and procedures
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
  • capability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours if needed

Job Duties

  • Adhere to a strict attendance policy
  • check viscosity of soup
  • wash and sanitize kettles after every formula
  • process a daily schedule by referring to recipes and coordinating prep department
  • fill out paperwork and IQS entries and inspections
  • load ingredients into kettle
  • take samples to quality assurance
  • retrieve and return containers from prep and blanch
  • verify product quality including item numbers, weights, and HACCP checks
  • follow all required safe work practices including use of PPE and job safety analysis
  • perform other duties as assigned
