Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or minimum of five years in high-volume food production
  • Minimum of three years in institutional or healthcare food service
  • Experience in scratch cooking including butchery, sauces, and baked goods
  • Familiarity with dietary restrictions and nutritional standards for patient care
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards
  • Ability to manage a team and work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • ServSafe certification and State Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen

Job Duties

  • Lead daily food production for patient meals, cafeteria service, and catered events
  • Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions, portion control, and sanitation protocols
  • Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks to ensure timely meal service
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies and ingredients
  • Maintain accurate production records and follow standardized recipes
  • Collaborate with dietitians and food service managers to meet nutritional goals
  • Other duties as assigned
