Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of culinary management experience
  • Knowledge of menu development, purchasing and inventory
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Passion for sustainability and quality food preparation
  • Ability to manage P&L and contract services
  • Certification in food safety such as ServSafe preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining setting, or restaurant with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
  • Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Experience with exposition cooking
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service
  • ServSafe certified preferred
  • Union and corporate food service experience a plus

Job Duties

  • Full culinary management of food service operation to include inventory, ordering and receiving
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience
  • Proficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food products
  • Possesses a passion for sustainability
  • Maintain sanitation and food safety standards
  • Manage kitchen staff and ensure high-quality food production
  • Monitor food costs and control waste
