Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of professional baking experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Positive and motivated attitude
  • Availability to work Friday through Tuesday including weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to a minimum of one year employment
  • Ability to maintain high-quality standards and sanitation practices
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of professional baking experience

  • Self-motivated with an eye for detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Arrive at work on time maintaining Flour's standard of being 5 minutes early
  • Help maintain a positive team environment
  • Communicate openly with managers about bakery operations and improvement ideas
  • Maintain proper communication with fellow team members
  • Know when to seek help from managers or colleagues
  • Remain calm while troubleshooting issues
  • Maintain Flour Bakery's quality standards (MOM test) for all products
  • Ensure organization and sanitation standards are upheld in the kitchen
  • Prepare and bake various bread types using proper mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking techniques
  • Mix and shape laminated doughs such as croissants and other viennoiserie
  • Mix and shape enriched doughs such as brioche
  • Keep workstations clean and properly set up for the next shift
