Job Duties
- Prepare cakes for icing
- push and pull bakery racks from refrigerator to Cake Room
- peel baking paper from cakes
- cut and split cakes horizontally
- operate cake slabber for slicing
- place cakes on conveyor for icing
- prepare icings and fillings using commercial mixers
- retrieve supplies and ingredients
- pour and scale dry ingredients
- change mixer beaters
- mix icings and fillings
- transfer mixed products for use and storage
- affix cakes to decorative boards
- apply icing using bowl knife
- decorate cakes with pastry bags
- apply decorative borders and designs
- apply crumbs, nuts, and coconut
- cut and fill pastries
- clean utensils and work area
- load and unload bowl washers
- maneuver work tables
- fill jelly and cream rolls
- assemble napoleon pastries
- transport finished products to freezer
