Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Culinary Arts, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • ServSafe or food safety/allergen awareness certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to drive a box truck
  • Demonstrated experience managing food and labor costs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, recipe software, and inventory systems
  • Experience in large-scale catering and event management
  • Experience in budget development and operating budget management
  • Extensive experience in residential food service programs within a college or university setting

Job Duties

  • Record all production data in the menu management system
  • Maintain the recipe software production database
  • Collaborate to create standardized recipes meeting quality, nutrition, presentation, and budget goals
  • Forecast production and procurement needs
  • Manage inventory and update CBORD software
  • Build the menu cycle and manage REACH technology integration
  • Maintain allergen information for all food items
  • Manage daily culinary operations of the main Dining Center
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through efficient daily production
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment
  • Participate in College Committee meetings
  • Assist in developing healthy and accessible food options
  • Develop and monitor menus for residential dining
  • Implement accurate inventory systems to track food costs
  • Supervise food preparation and resolve production issues
  • Lead food production plans for the main Dining Hall
  • Ensure production standards for bakeshop supporting catering, retail, and other initiatives
  • Manage training for knife skills, equipment use, safety, and policies
  • Prepare kitchen staff schedules
  • Supervise all food production and menus for the main Dining Center
  • Assist with budget management for ordering and inventory control
