Job Requirements

Associate's degree in culinary arts, business, or related field
Two or more years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
ServSafe and/or food safety/allergen awareness certification
Valid driver's license
Ability to drive a box truck
Demonstrated experience managing food and labor costs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, recipe software, and inventory systems
Experience in large-scale catering and event management
Experience in budget development and financial systems
Knowledge of residential food service programs in a college or university

Job Qualifications

Associate's degree in Culinary Arts, Business, or related field with 2+ years of related experience
ServSafe and/or food safety/allergen awareness certification required
Valid driver's license
Ability to drive a box truck
Experience managing food and labor costs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, recipe software, and inventory systems
Experience in large-scale catering and event management
Experience in budget development and operating budget management
Knowledge of residential food service programs in a college or university setting
Bachelor's degree in Food Service Administration, Institutional Management, Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field preferred
3+ years of supervisory and administrative experience in high-volume food service operations preferred

Job Duties

Record all production data in the menu management system
Maintain the recipe software production database
Collaborate with leadership to create standardized recipes meeting quality and budget goals
Forecast production needs and procurement requirements
Identify new menu items and update inventory and software systems
Build menu cycles in the menu management system
Manage REACH technology system integration
Maintain allergen information for all food purchases and menu items
Oversee daily culinary operations of main dining center
Respond to customer needs ensuring high satisfaction
Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
Participate in college committee meetings
Assist in developing healthier and accessible food options
Monitor food quality and assist in menu development
Implement accurate inventory system to track food costs and purchases
Supervise food preparation and resolve production issues
Lead food production planning for the main dining hall
Maintain production standards for bakeshop supporting catering and retail
Manage training on knife skills, equipment, and safety
Prepare kitchen staff schedules
Supervise food production and menus
Assist with ordering and inventory budget management
