Job Requirements
- Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in elevator safety inspections and new construction installations
- Prior experience in field operations or engineering roles related to elevators
- Ability to conduct physical inspections including car tops, pits, and related components
- Strong knowledge of Schindler and ASME standards
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Capacity to work independently and self-motivate
- Proficient in reporting and documentation
- Ability to interact effectively with management and technical teams
Job Qualifications
- Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred
- Equivalent safety inspection experience
- Extensive experience (10+ years) with new construction installation
- Prior experience in elevator field operations, new installations or existing installations, and/or engineering
- Solid knowledge of elevator norms and codes
- Ability to identify safety non-conformances and provide guidance on resolutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated
- Capability to train technicians and provide feedback
- Ability to prepare reports and participate in team meetings
Job Duties
- Audit 5-year Corporate Product Safety Inspections in districts and branches at customer sites
- Support control implementation of technical requirements and execution of SAIS, CPSI 5 and CPSI 2 safety processes
- Ensure new installation and modernized elevators and escalators are safe for turnover
- Conduct periodic audits of CPSI 2 and CPSI 5-year inspections
- Review and stay current on elevator and escalator codes and Group Organization Norm standards
- Document SAIS completions, CPSI audits, and safety reports
- Support investigations and analysis of product-related accidents
