Job Requirements

  • Must be local to the Detroit area
  • reliable transportation
  • ability to lift 50 plus lbs
  • willingness to work evenings and weekends if required
  • college degree
  • 5-plus years of live event production management
  • strong program management, organizational and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • familiarity with event venues, production companies, unions, catering
  • experience with AV, staging, lighting, audio
  • proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook
  • ability to travel up to 30 percent annually
  • ability to travel for extended periods
  • professional confidence and accountability for results

Job Qualifications

  • College degree
  • 5-plus years of live event production management experience
  • strong program management, organizational and communication skills
  • demonstrated production competencies including client focus, effectiveness, attention to detail, flexibility, professional confidence and accountability for results
  • familiarity with event venues, production companies, staffing, unions, catering
  • experience with AV, staging, lighting, audio
  • understanding of video/streaming technology is a plus
  • experience as a stage manager or show caller is a plus
  • proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook

Job Duties

  • Ensure project/program is planned, executed, delivered flawlessly, and within budget
  • collaborate with cross functional teams, external partners and key suppliers in managing effective communications between all parties
  • ensure a no surprises approach, keeping the internal and external stakeholders continuously up to date on the status of all production deliverable elements
  • management of crew/supplier travel plans and their onsite management as required
  • management of site security and product security
  • maintenance of physical deliverable inventories across teams
  • manage resources including identification, negotiation, and collaboration with external resources as needed
