Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have 1-3 years of experience working in a grocery retail setting with management experience in produce
  • Possess basic knowledge of math, weights and measures
  • Have good communication skills
  • Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area
  • Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift, stack and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Capability to use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 20 feet
  • Ability to maneuver six wheel carts with required force
  • Ability to walk up to 5 miles in an 8-hour shift
  • Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, sales numbers, and financial goals
  • Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude

  • Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, and freezer
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to use a pallet jack and maneuver carts requiring physical force
  • Ability to walk up to 5 miles in an 8-hour shift
  • Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
  • Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers

Job Duties

  • Responsible for quality control, merchandising, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the produce department
  • Responsible for inventory management
  • Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions
  • Make recommendations on merit increases via bi-annual performance review process
  • Regularly attend and participate at in-store meetings
  • Recruit, hire and make promotion or transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager
  • Confidently exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns
  • Take and document corrective actions including coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination
  • Ensure maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels
  • Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members
  • Lead a team that delivers the finest product quality, service, and customer experience
  • Serve as a Key Carrier and/or act as Manager on Duty as needed
