Job Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from high school
  • One year of full-time experience in public safety, security or legal setting
  • Valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment
  • Successful completion of background investigation
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone
  • Passing a pre-employment drug test
  • Successful physical examination

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of full-time experience in public safety, security or legal setting
  • Experience in law enforcement is desirable
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
  • Strong investigative and communication skills
  • Ability to work under supervision and within a team
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed written reports

Job Duties

  • Locate and serve subpoenas and civil processes to individuals, partnerships and corporations
  • Perform investigative duties such as locating defendants or witnesses under supervision
  • Request information and perform other routine investigative activities
  • Drive personal or county motor vehicle when required
  • Contribute to team efficiency and effectiveness by offering suggestions and active participation
  • Communicate professionally with witnesses, victims, and parties involved
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports related to served processes and investigations
