Job Description

The New CIC Plant Operator position is a vital role within a leading mining company, responsible for managing complex carbon adsorption systems pivotal to the gold extraction process. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year industrial or plant operation experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to work in a safety-sensitive environment
  • Ability to operate small machinery and hand tools
  • Commitment to following established safety procedures
  • Capable of conducting inspections and documenting findings
  • Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1 year experience working around pumps or industrial plants preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office software
  • Ability to communicate and write in English
  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
  • Experience operating industrial equipment an advantage

Job Duties

  • Complete walk around inspections at the start of each shift and record defects
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately to process supervisor
  • Maintain frequent radio communication with gold plant operators, leach crew, and security guards
  • Check all pumps and chemical tanks for leaks or malfunctions
  • Inspect carbon screens and report any deficiencies
  • Transfer carbon based on laboratory analysis and maintain adequate carbon levels
  • Ensure proper flows and pressures to leach pad drippers and coordinate with Leach Operations
  • Follow MSHA rules, National Cyanide Code, environmental regulations, and SOPs
  • Operate plant equipment such as rubber tire loaders safely
  • Assist with cyanide truck mixing and offloading
  • Document and log daily shift data using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance as directed by supervisors
