Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 4 - 9 years' experience in a process manufacturing environment
  • Able to work alone with limited supervision
  • Handles low to intermediate complex issues and refers difficult issues to higher-level staff
  • Lift and/or carry minimum of 50 pounds
  • Push/pull 25 pounds
  • Stand at least 50-75% of the day
  • Sit 25-50% of the day
  • Twist/bend 50-75% of the day
  • Squat, climb or crawl 20% of the day
  • Must have or be able to obtain a passport
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 4 - 9 years' experience in a process manufacturing environment
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized in scheduling, executing responsibilities and prioritizing in a multitask environment
  • Team player with a positive, cooperative attitude
  • Leadership skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Experience with Mini-Tab or other similar software

Job Duties

  • Assist new product development projects as assigned and in compliance with procedures, programs, and policies
  • Assist with developing and executing design of experiments for pilot plant and production scale-up
  • Analyze design of experiment data identifying results compared to expectations and opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze product, process, and quality data identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction
  • Ensure operations and processes comply with ISO/QMS requirements
  • Develop work instructions and provide training on new and improved equipment and processes
  • Assist in identifying, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives which reduce waste and non-value-added activities
