Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 0 - 4 years experience in a process manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to push or pull 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand 50 - 75 percent of the day
  • Ability to sit 25 - 50 percent of the day
  • Ability to twist/bend 50 - 75 percent of the day
  • Ability to squat, climb, or crawl for 20 percent of the day
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50 percent domestically and internationally
  • Must have or be able to obtain a passport

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of 0 - 4 years' experience in a process manufacturing environment
  • Self-starter able to work alone with limited supervision
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized in scheduling, executing responsibilities and prioritizing in a multitask environment
  • Team player with a positive, cooperative attitude
  • Leadership skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Experience with Mini-Tab or similar software

Job Duties

  • Assist NPD projects as assigned and in compliance with procedures, programs, and policies
  • Execute design of experiments for pilot plant scale-up and production scale-up
  • Analyze design of experiment data compared to expectations and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze product/process data identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction
  • Ensure all operations and processes comply with ISO/QMS requirements
  • Develop work instructions and provide training on new and improved equipment and processes
  • Assist in identifying, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives which reduce waste and non-value added activities
