Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, or biochemistry
- 1 to 5+ years’ experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced pilot scale laboratory setting
- Physically able to perform pilot scale operations
- Knowledge of protein purification techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and software systems
- Ability to maintain lab equipment and ensure safety compliance
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, or biochemistry
- 1 to 5+ years’ experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of protein purification techniques
- Experience with downstream development
- Familiarity with tangential flow filters, chromatography systems, ultrafiltration/diafiltration skids
- Knowledge of software tools such as Empower, Unicorn, JMP, LIMS, PI Historian
- Experience with raman spectroscopy or software programming is a plus
- Ability to design experiments with proper controls
- Strong scientific curiosity and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Manage and organize experimental data more independently
- Execute experiments and projects using established procedures
- Perform routine technical tasks and basic data entry and analysis
- Train and become proficient in laboratory instrumentation and data systems
- Support technology development and improvement initiatives
- Contribute to technology and automation development to increase throughput and speed
- Build relationships within the subgroup, train peers, and assist co-op students or interns
