Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Registered current Paramedic license in state of residence
  • Current Paramedic license in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and/or North Carolina preferred
  • Current NREMT preferred
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification preferred
  • Minimum one year experience as a Paramedic
  • Completion of ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 courses
  • Completion of ICS 300 and ICS 400 within three months of hire
  • Ability to work 12+ hour shifts consecutively in austere conditions
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, especially Microsoft Suite

Job Duties

  • Collect and ensure documentation for medical staff meets guidelines
  • Maintain confidentiality of health care records according to HIPAA and PHI
  • Perform and supervise medical staff clinic duties
  • Direct, train medical staff, and coordinate services following policies
  • Monitor established health care plans within required timeframes
  • Assist with process improvement by updating medical protocols
  • Participate or supervise disaster preparedness, response, and recovery initiatives
