Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Basic personal computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to work rotating 10-hour shifts including weekends and some holidays
  • Ability to handle customer service interactions with professionalism and empathy
  • Ability to maintain an organized and presentable front office environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups
  • Basic personal computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Good communication and multitasking skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team

Job Duties

  • Greet residents, family, visitors and staff pleasantly and assist them
  • Communicate necessary information to residents and family and address concerns promptly
  • Assist everyone entering the Independent Living entrance with professionalism and hospitality
  • Work with Transportation Services to fulfill resident transportation requests
  • Manage administrative workflow and scheduling of transportation for independent living residents
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance and housekeeping work orders and tracking system
  • Keep the front office organized, presentable, and running smoothly
  • Assist the Administrator of Independent Living Services
  • Answer phone calls professionally, assist callers, and route calls appropriately
  • Write receipts for rent and miscellaneous payments
  • Handle mail duties including sorting, weighing, and selling stamps
  • Order office supplies for administrative staff
  • Support the Marketing Director with administrative tasks
  • Assist Management with special projects and tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Resident and Guest Services
