Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic computer skills including email, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage schedules and workflow efficiently
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Must be able to work rotating 10-hour shifts including every other weekend and some holidays
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Job Qualifications

  • One to three months related experience or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Basic personal computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheet and graphics
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Greet residents, family, visitors and staff pleasantly and assist them
  • Communicate necessary information to residents and family addressing concerns timely
  • Provide a professional and hospitable presence at Independent Living entrance
  • Coordinate with Transportation Services to fulfill resident requests efficiently
  • Manage administrative workflow and scheduling of transportation for residents
  • Prepare and maintain work orders for maintenance and housekeeping
  • Keep front office organized, presentable and running smoothly
  • Assist the Administrator of Independent Living Services
  • Answer phone calls professionally and route them as needed
  • Process receipts for rent and miscellaneous payments
  • Handle mail sorting, weighing, and stamp sales
  • Order office supplies for administrative staff
  • Support Marketing Director with administrative duties
  • Assist Management with special projects and tasks
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Resident and Guest Services
