Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-1 year of food service and/or sanitation experience
- Availability to work per diem schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to adhere to food safety and infection control standards
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and food preparation tasks
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic math skills to manage cash transactions

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve simple hot and cold food items to patients, visitors, and hospital staff according to HACCP procedures
- Date and label all food products and ensure proper handling to maintain infection control and safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area including cleaning equipment, tables, floors, and related areas using appropriate chemicals and procedures
- Manage food supplies, services and equipment to ensure effective, economical usage and proper storage
- Provide friendly and competent customer service attending to individual patient and visitor needs
- Accurately handle money transactions at registers and account for receipts, merchandise and property
- Comply with city, state health codes and Joint Commission regulations while following HACCP guidelines daily
