Job Requirements
- NATA BOC certified
- Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Indiana
- Valid Basic Life Support certification
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to regional athletic events within central Indiana
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors during athletic events
- Physical ability to briskly walk or run, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently
- Capacity to lift or carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications
- NATA BOC certified
- Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Indiana
- Valid Basic Life Support Certification
- 1+ years of athletic training experience is preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to make timely decisions under pressure
- Ability to build collaborative relationships
- Proficient in injury assessment and emergency care
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Provide athletic training coverage for athletic events in and around central Indiana
- Care for athletic injuries through taping and bracing, physical rehabilitation, first aid, triage, and referrals to Forté’s orthopedic specialists
- Conduct an initial assessment of an injury or illness to provide emergency care and to determine whether referral to a physician is necessary
- Perform administrative tasks such as making phone calls, sending emails, and documenting injuries
- Communicate attentively with athletes, coaches, medical staff, and management
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with partner organizations
- Manage stress effectively while maintaining composure during medical emergencies
