Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a personal or private chef
- Ability to work onsite in Brentwood, Los Angeles, CA
- Availability to work onsite two days per week with potential for increased hours
- Ability to host 1-2 events per month
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cuisines
- Ability to manage kitchen organization and food storage
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience as a private or personal chef for a high-net-worth household or luxury environment
- Expertise in multiple cuisines (e.g., Mediterranean, Italian, Asian, Vegetarian)
- Experience with event-style cooking and menu planning for small gatherings
- Excellent organizational skills, discretion, and professionalism in private home settings
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and presentation
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Familiarity with Shabbat-style meals preferred (Kosher not required)
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook family meals onsite twice weekly, including meal prep for the remainder of the week
- Develop creative, seasonal menus that suit the family’s preferences
- Source premium, high-quality ingredients from trusted purveyors and local markets
- Plan, prepare, and execute menus for private gatherings (20-25 guests), including occasional Shabbat dinners
- Maintain an immaculate, well-organized kitchen and ensure proper food storage
- Manage grocery budgets, track expenses, and submit receipts for reimbursement
