A private and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) family based in Brentwood, Los Angeles, CA, is actively seeking a highly skilled and versatile Personal Chef to join their household team. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a personal or private chef
  • Ability to work onsite in Brentwood, Los Angeles, CA
  • Availability to work onsite two days per week with potential for increased hours
  • Ability to host 1-2 events per month
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cuisines
  • Ability to manage kitchen organization and food storage
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a private or personal chef for a high-net-worth household or luxury environment
  • Expertise in multiple cuisines (e.g., Mediterranean, Italian, Asian, Vegetarian)
  • Experience with event-style cooking and menu planning for small gatherings
  • Excellent organizational skills, discretion, and professionalism in private home settings
  • Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and presentation
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Familiarity with Shabbat-style meals preferred (Kosher not required)

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook family meals onsite twice weekly, including meal prep for the remainder of the week
  • Develop creative, seasonal menus that suit the family’s preferences
  • Source premium, high-quality ingredients from trusted purveyors and local markets
  • Plan, prepare, and execute menus for private gatherings (20-25 guests), including occasional Shabbat dinners
  • Maintain an immaculate, well-organized kitchen and ensure proper food storage
  • Manage grocery budgets, track expenses, and submit receipts for reimbursement
