Job Requirements
- Minimum seven years chef experience
- culinary degree or certificate
- proficiency in diverse cuisine styles
- flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays

- physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and distinguish flavors and aromas

Job Qualifications
- Minimum seven years chef experience, preferably in Michelin-rated or fine dining establishments and private families
- culinary degree or certificate
- proficiency in diverse cuisine styles
- able to maintain confidentiality and accommodate dietary preferences
- excellent professional service and communication
- knowledge of California sanitation regulations and Food ServeSafe certification
- proficient with technology including iPhone, MacBook, and Google Suite
- valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- able to pass background checks and pre-employment health screenings
Job Duties
- Cook daily meals for the family and guests, tailoring dishes to preferences and dietary needs
- design surprise menus for holidays and family milestones using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- create customized, diverse menus four weeks ahead considering family preferences and dietary needs including school lunches
- oversee kitchen operations from budgeting and sourcing to menu planning, ordering groceries, and managing inventory
- take charge of kitchen maintenance, inspecting and ensuring all kitchen equipment are in top condition
- keep the kitchen spotless and organized, maintaining health, hygiene, and safety standards
- collaborate with household staff to plan and execute meal preparations and events
- build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional food suppliers
