Job Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of chef experience, preferably in Michelin-rated or fine dining establishments and private families
- culinary degree or certificate
- flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- proficient in technology including iPhone, MacBook, and Google Suite
- reliable, deadline-oriented, and collaborative team player
- strong communication skills with discretion
- capable of physical kitchen tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs
- good spatial awareness
- knowledge of California sanitation regulations
- Food ServSafe certification
- US work authorization without visa sponsorship
- ability to pass extensive background checks
- valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- readiness for pre-employment health screenings including physical, psychological exams, and drug tests
- annual flu vaccination required
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or certificate
- minimum 7 years chef experience preferably in Michelin-rated or fine dining establishments and private families
- proficiency in diverse cuisine styles, Asian fusion preferred
- strong knowledge of California sanitation regulations and Food ServSafe certification
- ability to maintain confidentiality and accommodate dietary preferences
- excellent professional communication and service skills
- technology proficiency including iPhone, MacBook, and Google Suite
Job Duties
- Cook daily meals for the family and guests, tailoring dishes to preferences and dietary needs
- design surprise menus for holidays and family milestones using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- create customized, diverse menus four weeks ahead including school lunches
- oversee kitchen operations including budgeting, sourcing, menu planning, ordering groceries, and managing inventory
- ensure regular kitchen maintenance and inspection of all wares and equipment
- maintain high standards of health, hygiene, and safety including proper food storage and sanitation
- collaborate with household staff to coordinate meal preparations and events
- build and maintain relationships with local and regional food suppliers
