Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years restaurant experience

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
  • proficiency in budgeting and cost control
  • strong customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Meet with clients to understand their event requirements including menu selection, venue setup, audiovisual needs, and special requests
  • assist clients in selecting appropriate menu options, suggesting enhancements, and finalizing event details
  • coordinate with various departments including culinary, service, and logistics to ensure seamless event execution
  • create detailed event timelines including setup, service, and breakdown schedules
  • manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide accurate cost estimates to clients
  • collaborate with kitchen managers, servers, bartenders, and support staff
  • partner with above store leaders to schedule and assign staff for catering events ensuring proper coverage and compliance with labor regulations
  • conduct regular staff training to enhance service skills, food handling, and safety protocols
  • collaborate with the corporate chef to develop innovative and customizable menus based on client preferences and dietary restrictions
  • maintain catering supplies and equipment inventory ensuring availability for events
  • identify and address operational challenges working with property staff and customers to develop alternative solutions
  • develop and enhance policies and procedures to optimize event productivity
  • represent the catering event and sales department at restaurant pre-shift meetings providing sales activity reports
  • ensure site inspections and visits ensuring quality service delivery
  • build and maintain strong relationships with clients delivering exceptional customer service
  • conduct pre-event meetings with clients to review details finalize arrangements and address any last-minute changes
  • follow up with clients post-event to obtain feedback and address concerns or issues
  • identify opportunities for repeat business upselling and cross-selling catering services
  • collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective strategies for promoting our catering and sales services
  • attend industry events trade shows and networking functions to generate leads and expand our client network
  • prepare and present catering proposals contracts and pricing information to clients
  • stay up to date with industry trends competitors and market demands to make informed business decisions
  • utilize market knowledge to capitalize on competitors weaknesses and sell against them
