Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years restaurant experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management software
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure

Job Duties

  • Meet with clients to understand event requirements including menu selection, venue setup, audiovisual needs, and special requests
  • Assist clients in selecting appropriate menu options, suggesting enhancements, and finalizing event details
  • Coordinate with culinary, service, and logistics departments to ensure seamless event execution
  • Create detailed event timelines including setup, service, and breakdown schedules
  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide accurate cost estimates to clients
  • Collaborate with Kitchen Managers, servers, bartenders, and support staff to deliver cohesive catering service
  • Partner with Above Store Leaders to schedule and assign staff for events ensuring proper coverage and compliance
  • Conduct regular staff training to enhance service skills, food handling, and safety protocols
  • Work with the Corporate Chef to develop innovative and customizable menus based on client preferences and dietary restrictions
  • Maintain catering supplies and equipment inventory
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges working with property staff and customers
  • Develop and optimize event policies and procedures
  • Represent Catering Sales department at pre-shift meetings providing sales activity reports
  • Conduct site inspections and visits to ensure quality service delivery
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships delivering exceptional customer service
  • Conduct pre-event meetings to review details and finalize arrangements
  • Follow up post-event to obtain feedback and address concerns
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business, upselling, and cross-selling
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional strategies
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate leads
  • Prepare and present catering proposals, contracts, and pricing information
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and market demands
  • Use market knowledge to capitalize on competitors' weaknesses and sell against them
