Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service, event coordination, hospitality, or related field
  • Proven organizational skills with high-level attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office environment
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset including dependability and managing multiple competing priorities
  • Comfort with making independent, timely, and sound decisions in high-pressure environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully in various situations
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Flexible availability to work primarily evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds with assistance
  • Willingness to wear professional attire
  • On-site attendance is essential

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in customer service, event coordination, hospitality, or related field
  • Working knowledge of events coordination and catering logistics preferred
  • Proven organizational skills with high-level attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset including dependability and managing multiple competing priorities
  • Comfortable making independent, timely, and sound decisions in a high-pressure environment
  • Able to communicate effectively with respect in both positive and negative situations with strong emphasis on communication to large, diverse groups
  • Ability to work independently and take asynchronous direction as well as work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Represent the Museum during assigned private events, acting as liaison between clients, vendors, and internal staff such as Security, Facilities, Audio/Visual, Volunteer Services, and Visitor Services departments
  • Ensure client and caterer compliance within established regulations and uphold the Museum’s policies, procedures, and values
  • Provide client assistance and execute Private Events’ operating procedures utilizing available resources to ensure success of Private and Museum Events
  • Occasionally support Facilities in event related set-up and break-down of spaces
  • Occasionally support Public Programs for day-of event needs where requested
  • Support Private Event operations including wristband distribution, centerpiece upkeep, and linen inventories
  • Provide post-event reports for respective Private Event documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
