Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum of 1 year of experience in special events, catering, hotel, or restaurant experience preferred
- valid driver’s license
- ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- ability to work in various environments including outdoor, indoor, and non-air-conditioned spaces
- must be committed to safety
- ability to communicate effectively with the public and team members
- positive and cooperative attitude
- ability to work overtime as necessary
Job Qualifications

- minimum of 1 year of experience in special events, catering, hotel, or restaurant industry preferred
- proven excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and floorplans
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- ability to speak effectively before groups
- ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and solve problems
- knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- valid driver’s license
- ability to maintain stability under pressure
- ability to be a positive representative of the organization at all times
Job Duties
- Serves as the on-site event representative for the private event team
- works with the Events Department to provide positive experiences for guests
- follows radio communication procedures and policies
- maintains a positive, pro-active, solution-oriented demeanor when serving clients and visitors
- performs set-up, installation, breakdown, and strike of event equipment including lighting, sound, signage, and supplies
- serves as the on-site lead when opening private events
- inspects post-event venue spaces for trash and damages
- notifies senior management of any unusual circumstances or safety concerns
- ensures private events are set properly according to client agreements and last-minute adjustments
- ensures clients, caterers, and vendors abide by Gardens rules and reports any damage
- assists with phone lines and minor administrative duties
- coordinates deliveries to the correct locations
- maintains positive working relationships with managers, co-workers, clients
- assists audio-visual team with limited setups and general support
- ensures adherence to all policies and procedures in the Events Department and Gardens
- provides assistance to public events as needed
