Job Requirements

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to stand and be mobile for periods up to 8 hours in a high-volume environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in the restaurant or events industry

Job Duties

  • Develops and maintains partnerships with the restaurant, retail and quick service departments
  • Manages in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer service
  • Maintains industry knowledge including principles and practices within catering
  • Supervises events at La Scuola including setup, oversight and breakdown of events such as cooking classes, wine tasting classes, communal dinners, private dinners and receptions
  • Facilitates communication between clients and chefs, beverage managers, and restaurant team members
  • Ensures each event is planned correctly and runs smoothly from front-of-house to behind-the-scenes organization and data entry
  • Conceives and creates public classes including drafting descriptions, compiling instructor biographies and managing online registrations
  • Participates in organizing storewide events, promotions and partner events
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
