Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent preferred
- previous serving experience and/or training preferred
- completion of ServeSafe course upon hire
- must be a people-oriented individual, have excellent oral communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people
- computer skills appropriate to job tasks include Point-of-Sale system
- organizational and time-management skills
- ability to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written instructions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior serving experience and/or training
- capable of performing assigned duties satisfactorily
- completion of ServeSafe certification upon hire
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- familiarity with the use of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems
- strong organizational and time-management skills
- ability to comprehend and follow instructions effectively
Job Duties
- Greets guests and presents them with the menu
- informs guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any
- suggest food and beverages to the guest
- take food and beverage orders from the guest on the order taking pads or on the handheld Point of sale (POS) system
- obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments
- performing cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- filling in for absent staff as needed
- punch the order on the POS machine and make sure to enter the special requirements made by the guest while ordering the food
- communicate to the guest and provide assistance with their queries
- coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and resident/guest satisfaction
- serve food and beverage to the guest as per the course of order
- observes guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service
- promptly respond to guest with any additional request
- bus tables when guests leave
- maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
- adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- must have some familiarity with basic cooking skills
- assist with stocking and maintain the dining room par stock levels and side station
- help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and completing financial transactions for the Take-Out
- close the shift on the POS terminal
- other duties assigned by supervisor or manager including but not limited to this list
