This opportunity is with a private household located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Situated in one of the city's most vibrant and sought-after areas, the family is preparing to welcome their first child and is seeking a dedicated Private Chef on a six-month contract basis starting November 17, 2025. Job Duties

  • Design and execute weekly menus aligned with dietary preferences and nutritional needs
  • prepare lunches as the primary focus, plus lighter dinners
  • incorporate high-protein, high omega-3 ingredients, whole grains, beans, lentils, and low-mercury fish
  • limit use of beef, pork, cream-based dishes, and heavy cheeses
  • source high-quality ingredients, prioritizing seasonal, sustainable, and local options
  • organize the pantry and refrigerator in an orderly, practical way
  • minimize plastic use and rely on sustainable/reusable storage solutions
  • respect current pregnancy restrictions
  • accommodate food preferences
  • ensure meals are safe, well-labeled, and easy to reheat or assemble
  • collaborate with household rhythm and staff
  • maintain a discreet and low-profile presence
