Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist or care coordinator
- ability to communicate effectively with medical teams and patients
- proficiency in managing appointment schedules and authorizations
- strong organizational skills
- attention to detail
- ability to handle multiple communication channels
- capability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher
- minimum of 1 year as a medical receptionist or previous care coordination experience
Job Duties
- Obtain authorizations for all testing appointments
- obtain insurance referrals
- check schedules weekly for new appointments requiring authorizations
- contact outside referring offices for authorization information
- register patients if needed
- collaborate and communicate with cardiology teams to ensure continuity of care
- respond to all requests and inquiries to coordinate patient appointments and needs
- contact patients, families, medical providers, and facilities to foster smooth transitions of care
