Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in communications events or related fields
  • Minimum of five years of experience for Level 3 positions and eight years for Level 4 positions in developing and deploying communications and events practices
  • Experience in project management trade show management strategic communications marketing and public relations
  • Ability to multitask adapt and work under pressure in fast-paced environments
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with CRM tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time including weekends
  • Certification such as CMP or CTSM preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience in leadership or management roles preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in communications events or related fields
  • Master's degree or higher with advanced experience is preferred
  • Proven project management skills with experience in trade show management strategic communications marketing and public relations
  • Experience with virtual hybrid trade show platforms and emerging event technologies
  • Strong relationship building skills with a track record of influencing direction and driving progress
  • Ability to multitask adapt and work well in fast-paced deadline-driven environments
  • Problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challenges during event planning and execution
  • Strategic mindset with experience delivering business results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word SharePoint Excel PowerPoint Outlook
  • Familiarity with customer relations management tools such as Salesforce
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM) certification is strongly preferred
  • Management or leadership experience within the trade shows and events industry is preferred
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet
  • Experience working with or managing events for Fortune 500 companies
  • Successful account management negotiation and vendor management experience
  • Experience with global customers communication strategies and events management
  • Ability to leverage data to create and execute communications strategies plans programs and events
  • Knowledge of Northrop Grumman solutions and capabilities
  • Experience establishing and advancing organizational brands

Job Duties

  • Work on a range of events from local trade shows to large-scale national and international events that you'll deliver with a high level of quality and professionalism
  • Plan and execute trade show and event strategies to highlight Northrop Grumman's technologies and solutions in alignment with our brand and goals
  • Manage all event logistics including booth design shipping and printing of materials promotional items transportation and accommodations
  • Create manage and stay within specified budgets for each show including expenses for venue and footprint sponsorships vendors booth setup and equipment and other associated costs
  • Build and maintain strong positive relationships and serve as a partner and trusted advisor to business partners
