Job Requirements
- Minimum five years of supply chain experience with a bachelor’s or minimum three years with a master’s degree
- Additional four or more years of supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
- Experience with SAP software
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
- Availability to work on-site in Baltimore, Maryland
- Compliance with all company policies and government regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of supply chain experience or three years with a Master’s degree
- Experience with SAP software
- U.S. citizenship
- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations preferred
- Experience working with Department of Defense customers preferred
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
Job Duties
- Source and procure goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers
- Initiate requests for quotations and proposals and analyze proposed pricing from potential suppliers
- In conjunction with quality organization, evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability and ensure support of required delivery schedules
- Work with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risk through targeted negotiations
- Issue purchase orders and manage performance ensuring compliance with laws and company policies
- Employ sound business practices and assess supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
- Ensure appropriate documentation is provided to logistics, transportation, and warehouse organization for proper receipt
- Review and approve supplier payments as needed
- Utilize process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
