Job Requirements

  • a minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain with a bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain with a master’s degree
  • experience with sap
  • us citizenship required
  • ability to work onsite in baltimore, md
  • secret clearance
  • ability to comply with federal acquisition regulations
  • strong communication skills
  • commitment to ethical business practices
  • authorization to participate in dod skillbridge program if applicable

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • source and procure goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers
  • initiate requests for quotations and proposals and analyze proposed pricing from potential suppliers
  • evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability in conjunction with quality organization
  • identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risk through targeted negotiations
  • issue purchase orders
  • manage purchase order performance and ensure compliance with public law requirements and company policies
  • employ sound business practices and assess supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
  • ensure appropriate documentation is provided to logistics, transportation, and warehouse teams
  • review and approve supplier payments as needed
  • utilize process tools such as lean six sigma to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
