Job Requirements

  • Degree in a STEM area
  • 5 years experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a master’s degree, or 0 years with a PhD for Principal level
  • 8 years experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a master’s degree, or 4 years with a PhD for Senior Principal level
  • Experience in semiconductor or microelectronics fab with automated dispatching and scheduling
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Some computer programming knowledge
  • Adept with SQL
  • Experience defining requirements and technology roadmaps
  • Capability to create test plans
  • Willingness to work 100% on site
  • Limited travel to local facilities
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in a STEM area with appropriate experience
  • Experience in semiconductor or microelectronics fab with automated dispatching and scheduling
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Computer programming knowledge and capability
  • Adept in using SQL to query and join information from multiple tables
  • Experience defining requirements and technology roadmaps for stakeholders and vendors
  • Capability to create test plans for requirement sell off events
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance
  • Preferred active U.S. government security clearance
  • Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate meetings
  • Working knowledge of scheduling and dispatching systems
  • Experience using industrial and systems engineering principles in scheduling and dispatching systems
  • Experience with Applied Materials' RTD and RTS products
  • Familiarity with Applied Materials' AMA automation solutions
  • Experience in modern programming languages including Python, R, C#, SQL
  • Knowledge of change control principles in manufacturing
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools
  • Skilled in data analysis to predict and validate logic changes
  • Experience writing ETL, creating tables and views, and using triggers and scheduled jobs

Job Duties

  • Build and maintain robust dispatching and scheduling environment using programming, low-code, no-code solutions
  • Work hand in hand with Capacity Modeling and Planning team to drive scheduling improvements
  • Utilize data analysis methods to simulate impacts to proposed logic changes and validate those changes post deployment
  • Use industrial engineering principles to debug and improve dispatching and scheduling logic
  • Respond to issues and concerns from business area experts regarding dispatching and scheduling logic
  • Partner with process area SMEs to ensure area specific business rules and requirements are captured in dispatching and scheduling logic
  • Drive continuous improvement and back up decisions with data
  • Use systems engineering principles throughout daily work
