Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four to six years of relevant aircrew flight equipment or life support experience
  • Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
  • Ability to work flexible schedules to support flight test operations
  • Ability to organize and perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation or periodic review within last 5 years

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four to six years of experience in aircrew flight equipment or life support
  • Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical work including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support flight schedules
  • Ability to work independently and organize duties
  • Experience working with peers, aircrew members, and supervisors effectively
  • Transitioning military service member or veteran preferred
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with recent investigation or review preferred

Job Duties

  • Identify and procure aircrew flight equipment such as helmets, oxygen masks, and survival kits
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain aircrew flight equipment
  • Install and remove aircraft survival kits and service emergency oxygen bottles
  • Assist flight crewmembers with preflight preparations and post-flight procedures
  • Maintain equipment inspection records, publications, and ensure compliance with Air Force Technical Orders
  • Conduct ground egress training for pilots and perform fit checks
  • Collaborate with Human Factors, Crew Station Engineering, and Special Projects to provide aircrew equipment requirements
