Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 4 years of related Aircrew Flight Equipment or Life Support experience
- ability to perform moderate physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting 25 pounds, and working overhead
- flexible schedule availability to support flight schedules
- ability to work independently and organize tasks
- effective written and verbal communication skills
- ability to collaborate with peers, aircrew members, and supervisors
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
- valid security clearance (Secret) with recent investigation or periodic review
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 4-6 years of experience in Aircrew Flight Equipment and/or Life Support or relevant field
- ability to perform moderately strenuous physical and repetitious tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
- strong organizational skills and ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
- good written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work well with peers, aircrew members, supervisors, and managers
- transitioning service member or veteran preferred
- active DOD Secret Clearance with recent investigation
- special program access preferred
Job Duties
- Identify, procure, inspect, repair, and perform maintenance on flight helmets, oxygen masks, survival kits, and torso harnesses
- install and remove aircraft survival kits and service emergency oxygen bottles
- assist flight crew members with preflight preparations and post-flight procedures
- maintain equipment inspection records, publications, and Air Force Technical Orders
- manage supply, HAZCOM, calibration tools, consolidated tool kits (CTKs), and explosive safety
- ensure compliance with flight safety, company, and customer standards
- conduct Ground Egress Training for pilots
- perform Aircrew Flight Equipment fit checks
- familiarize flight crew members with escape and survival techniques including ejection seat systems and personal equipment operations
- collaborate with Human Factors, Crew Station Engineering, and Special Projects to provide aircrew equipment requirements
- work flexible hours to support flight test schedules
