Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 4 years of related Aircrew Flight Equipment or Life Support experience
  • ability to perform moderate physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting 25 pounds, and working overhead
  • flexible schedule availability to support flight schedules
  • ability to work independently and organize tasks
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to collaborate with peers, aircrew members, and supervisors
  • U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
  • valid security clearance (Secret) with recent investigation or periodic review

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4-6 years of experience in Aircrew Flight Equipment and/or Life Support or relevant field
  • ability to perform moderately strenuous physical and repetitious tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
  • strong organizational skills and ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • good written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to work well with peers, aircrew members, supervisors, and managers
  • transitioning service member or veteran preferred
  • active DOD Secret Clearance with recent investigation
  • special program access preferred

Job Duties

  • Identify, procure, inspect, repair, and perform maintenance on flight helmets, oxygen masks, survival kits, and torso harnesses
  • install and remove aircraft survival kits and service emergency oxygen bottles
  • assist flight crew members with preflight preparations and post-flight procedures
  • maintain equipment inspection records, publications, and Air Force Technical Orders
  • manage supply, HAZCOM, calibration tools, consolidated tool kits (CTKs), and explosive safety
  • ensure compliance with flight safety, company, and customer standards
  • conduct Ground Egress Training for pilots
  • perform Aircrew Flight Equipment fit checks
  • familiarize flight crew members with escape and survival techniques including ejection seat systems and personal equipment operations
  • collaborate with Human Factors, Crew Station Engineering, and Special Projects to provide aircrew equipment requirements
  • work flexible hours to support flight test schedules
