Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years experience in food service preferred
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to adapt to changing workloads and schedules

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of food portion control, serving procedures, and food production
  • knowledge of retail operations such as station setup, replenishment, merchandising and inventory procedures
  • knowledge of various kitchen tools and equipment
  • ability to follow standardized recipes
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • ability to work in standing position for a long period of time
  • ability to push, pull, and lift 50+ lbs
  • ability to work around and use strong cleaning solutions
  • knowledge of, and adherence to prescribed safety, sanitation, and food handling practices according to HACCP and JC policies
  • must have the ability to adjust to fluctuating work load and work schedules
  • interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, supervisors and managers
  • able to read, write, and communicate in standard English
  • preferred 1+ years in the food service industry

Job Duties

  • setting up service lines for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • pre-plating food items
  • restocking stations including beverages
  • supporting operations as a food runner, floor person, or tray person
  • displaying and merchandising food items so they are appealing and easy to access
