Job Requirements
- 10+ years aviation experience
- bachelor's degree in aviation management or related field
- minimum 10 years in aviation optimization leadership roles
- proven experience in managing cross-functional matrixed teams
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- prior consulting experience in aviation operations or airline optimization
- ability to lead and inspire teams
- mastery of time management and strategic thinking
- strong conflict resolution and briefing skills
- ability to make defensible decisions under uncertainty
- ability to develop delivery strategies aligned with customer objectives
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aviation management or related field
- minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation optimization including leadership roles such as Director of Flight Operations or equivalent
- proven experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects in matrixed environments
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- prior consulting experience in aviation operations or airline optimization
- FAA, EASA, or comparable commercial pilot or flight dispatcher certificate preferred
- broad experience within the airline or aerospace industry preferred
- mastery of driving innovative thinking, leading and inspiring teams, fostering collaboration, challenging status quo, managing complex situations, and adapting to dynamic environments
- strong skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, briefing, presentation, and strategic thinking
- effective verbal and written communication of complex concepts
- ability to navigate change and make defensible decisions under ambiguity
- ability to collaborate with customers to understand their business objectives and develop delivery strategies
Job Duties
- Drive consulting sales initiatives by identifying opportunities for new business through expansion of relationships with existing clients
- engage with new clients and develop and maintain relationships with sales teams
- manage the day-to-day delivery of customer engagements ensuring projects are on-time, within scope, and meet quality standards
- lead matrix teams including engagement leaders, cybersecurity experts, and suppliers to deliver tailored consulting services
- coordinate and facilitate communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment
- create and implement the Aviation Optimization Consulting strategy and account plans
- develop portfolio go-to-market plans and lead sales efforts engaging client executives
- maintain and enhance customer relationships as a trusted advisor
- manage the practice's profit and loss ensuring financial targets are met
- create compelling business cases and investment strategies for practice growth
- guide development and enhancement of consulting tools to improve service delivery
- conduct regular project progress reviews and provide updates to leadership teams
- monitor effectiveness of consulting engagements ensuring continuous improvement
- manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance
- collaborate with delivery teams to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities for additional services
