Job Requirements

  • 10+ years aviation experience
  • bachelor's degree in aviation management or related field
  • minimum of 10 years experience in aviation optimization
  • leadership experience in an airline or aviation operation
  • proven experience managing cross-functional teams
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • prior consulting experience preferred
  • ability to drive innovative thinking and lead teams
  • strong team building, time management, conflict resolution, and strategic thinking skills
  • strong communication skills including verbal and written
  • ability to make decisions in ambiguity
  • ability to collaborate effectively with customers

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management or a related field
  • minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation optimization, preferably as a former Director of Flight Operations, Director of Operations Control Center, or equivalent leadership role in an airline or aviation operation
  • proven experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects in a matrixed environment
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and diverse teams
  • prior consulting experience preferably in Aviation Operations or Airline Optimization
  • FAA or EASA or comparable Commercial Pilot or Flight Dispatcher certificate (preferred)
  • broad experience within the airline/aerospace industry (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Drive consulting sales initiatives by identifying opportunities for new business through expansion of relationships with existing clients
  • engage with new clients and develop and maintain relationships with BCA and BGS sales
  • manage the day-to-day delivery of customer engagements ensuring projects are executed on-time, within scope, and meet quality standards and customer expectations
  • lead a matrix team of engagement leaders, cybersecurity subject matter experts, and suppliers to deliver comprehensive consulting services tailored to customers' needs
  • coordinate and facilitate communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment and address issues during project execution
  • create and oversee the implementation of the Aviation Optimization Consulting strategy and account plan
  • develop a portfolio go-to-market plan and lead sales efforts engaging with client executives
  • maintain and enhance customer relationships acting as a trusted advisor providing expert guidance throughout the engagement process
  • manage the practice's profit and loss ensuring financial targets are met
  • create compelling business cases and devise investment strategies for practice growth
  • guide the development and enhancement of consulting tools to improve service delivery
  • conduct regular reviews of project progress providing updates to leadership and stakeholders and recommending improvements
  • monitor and assess the effectiveness of consulting engagements ensuring continuous improvement and adaptation to emerging threats
  • manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to enhance consulting service delivery and ensure compliance
  • collaborate with delivery teams to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities for additional consulting services at clients
